According to the info reaching our news room, the Lake Victoria capsized boat has been retrieved after six days of serious operations headlined by the Uganda Police in conjunction with Uganda People’s Defense Forces joined by tycoon Bryan White.
Speaking to the head of this operation, it has been such a difficult task as problems of lack of resources like machinery and labor to get the capsized vessel back floating.
Apparently, Police continues to search for the dead bodies that might have got stuck within the boat’s rooms and there have been several personal identity documents recovered from the wreckage of which majority belong to the deceased and whose bodies are yet to be found.
Earthwise boat capsized near Mutima Island beach on Saturday 24 November as it was sailing towards KK Pub beach a new chill out place which was to be opened that fateful night, owned by the Late Templar and Sheila Bisase who also owned this boat and KK beach Ggaba where they set-off.
The opening ceremony of this new hangout was to commence with this very boat cruise termed as ‘Caribbean Feast boat cruise’ and more fan and entertainment from Ugandan diva one ‘Irene Namubiru’ if they got to the Island.
Imbaraga continues to extend its condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.
