BOBI WINES HOUSE SURROUNDED WITH SOLDERS AFTER POLICE CANCELS CONCERT

Musician Bobi Wine’s home in Magere was put under police and military control after he was informed of the cancelation of his concert by police.

the musician could not hide his anger as he expressed his feelings on his social media page. “At about 11:00pm last night, they surrounded my home in Magere as well as One Love Beach Busabala, in another move to place me under house arrest and block our Independence Day music concert”. said the angry musician cum politician.

Bobi Wine further went ahead and challenged the president of Uganda on setting a leveled ground for musicians to compete especially those alliged to various political parties other than only those supporting his party. “President Museveni has been attending concerts of his praise singers. The greatest level of hypocrisy is to say that when you sing praises for his dictatorship on stage, you’re not doing politics and when you oppose his regime of blood and national shame, then you’re doing politics and your concert will be blocked with impunity”. He said.

“If he wants to compete with us musically, it should be fair play. Let the population decide who they want to listen to. THIS IS OUR COUNTRY, and friends, we shall certainly overcome.” The musician challenged.

President Museveni has attended various music concerts such as Bebe cool and Catherine Kusasira. The president also recently joined the Uganda Music Association ready to launch his album early next year.
