Ever since singer Mark Bugembe a.k.a Buchaman was appointed as the president’s envoy on ghetto affairs, Ugandans are convinced that he was given bags of cash, and they want some of that. Apparently, Buchaman’s former landlord has come out accusing him of failing to pay his rent accruing to Shs 5.4m since 2011, and now he’s running out of patience.
The landlord alleges that Buchaman accumulated the rent arrears saying he spent six months in his house that was costing him Shs. 600k a month without paying rent plus using water and electricity on a daily basis.
“At first, when Buchaman had just started renting my house everything was okay and always paid rent on time before he was fired from Firebase because Bobi Wine could at times come and they chill around here. But life became tough for him and the wife when he was kicked out of Firebase.” said Buchaman’s landlord.
He also added that he filed the case at police about Buchaman refusing to pay his debt, hence got an arrest warrant to arrest him, only to come back when the former Firebase Crew vice president had left his house. But considering that a case never rots, Buchaman’s former landlord want his money, and he’s not taking no for an answer.
