Bebe Cool Kicksoff 1Year STOP TB Partnership In Uganda

By Wycliff G; Sensational singer, Tuberculosis Ambassador in Uganda at the same time CEO Amber Heart Foundation, Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool has officially launched the ‘Stop TB’ campaign that will see fazing-out the killer disease in the country.

In a press conference held yesterday at Torino Bar & Restaurant Kololo, the ‘Wire Wire’ hitmaker revealed a constructive plan for the 400,000U$D that he received last month in Ho Chi Mihn City, Vietnam to fight TB.

According to Bebe Cool, the 400,000U$D is the first financial batch aligned by the ‘STOP TB’ and its partnership ‘TB REACH’ through the Amber Heart Foundation to reach out to TB patients in three districts in Uganda; Kampala, Mbarara, and Jinja.

After 1year of the successful health care system, the Amber Heart Foundation is expected to stretch its Stop TB activities to other districts in Uganda.

The TB REACH initiative is funded by the Government of Canada and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

This will be effective from his 26th December (Boxing Day) Tondeka Ekiwatule Hit after Hit concert where he has invited the public, government officials, Entertainment industry stakeholders and Media to join him as they kick-off the Stop TB Campaign in Uganda.

“Statistics prove that 80,000 Ugandans die of Tuberculosis annually yet this disease is treatable in all government facilities moreover for free,” stated Bebe Cool.

“It is also absurd that many of my fellow Ugandans do not know the symptoms of TB and never think to get screened /tested until it is too late and they have passed it on to their loved ones,” he added.

As Imbaraga, it’s our tireless effort as we collaborate with the Stop TB initiative in Uganda, advising patients to correctly carry on TB Testing /screenings and medical prescriptions.
