By Wycliff G; Uganda’s President, H.E Gen. YK Museveni has been awarded with the ‘African Leadership Award’ by the African Leadership Magazine.
This was at the Royal Geographical Society in London where he flew to attend the UK-Africa Investment Summit that commenced earlier this week.
In the summit, President Museveni emphasized on collectively diagnosing problems and offering their appropriate prescription for a victorious African continent tomorrow.
“I thank the African Leadership Magazine that gave me the African Leadership Peace Award yesterday at the Royal Geographical Society in London. Africa will continue to rise and shine, once we diagnose its problems correctly and offer appropriate prescription,” stated President Museveni.
The ALM Africa Dialogue held on the sidelines of the first-ever UK Government organized UK-Africa Investment Summit in London, bringing together Policymakers and leading CEOs from across Africa, with their counterparts in the United Kingdom for deliberations on ways to harness Africa’s economic attractiveness and develop stronger UK-Africa trade and Investment ties.
The 2020 event with the theme: ‘Harnessing Africa’s Global Economic Appeal,” also had in attendance government ministers, Members of the British Parliament, serving and retired Minister of Government from the United Kingdom, business and diplomatic leaders from Africa, and the UK.
President Museveni, who was among the delegates at the event, spoke on the topic “Harnessing Africa’s Economic Potential: The Uganda Example.”
