UPDF Lines The Fallen Maj. Gen. Kasirye Ggwanga’s Last Salute On Friday, See Full Burial Program Here

By Wycliff G; As the country continues in deep grief of the dying of considered one of its Senior Military officers, Maj. Gen (Rtd) Kasirye Ggwanga, the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) is in extreme arrangements for the Militant sending off.

The Late Ggwanga’s body is presently being preserved in Bombo Military hospital because it awaits burial slated for Friday, 4PM in Mityana.

The fallen military guru succumbed dying on Tuesday morning about 5:30am at Nakasero Hospital in which he had been transferred from Mbuya Military hospital remaining month.

In a statement released by way of the UPDF Deputy Spokesperson, Lt Col.   • That a sizable number of family members and military officials to attend the burial shall be selected and named to avoid crowding.
  • That the UPDF medical services shall ensure all preventive measures such as hand sanitizing, social distancing, and face masking are observed.
  • That security measures shall be put in place and implemented by joint security forces to ensure COVID-19 prevention guidelines are followed during the burial ceremony.

“The UPDF family commiserates with the family of the Late Maj General (Rtd) Kasirye Ggwanga and condoles with them at this very trying moment,” states Lt Col. Akiiki.

“May the good Lord continue to strengthen them and the soul of the fallen General rest in Eternal peace,” he adds.
