Police in Kampala has arrested about 58 members of the Forum for Democratic Change party youth leaders at Kampala offices. The FDC youth winger leaders were in a planning meeting at their Kampala division offices at City house ahead of Age limit debate on Monday.
The raid was commanded by SP Sylus who is also Gen Kayihura’s PA with a help of police officers from Kampala Central police station.The suspects were driven to Naggalama police station in Mukono district. It is indicated that opposition youth leaders were in a planning meeting to carry out demonstrations in different parts of Kampala on Monday as parliament debates Age limit Bill.
Luke Owoyesigire the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson confirmed the arrest and said police is holding 15 in number. “It’s true they were arrested from City hall where they were found in possession of posters and other materials. Basically they were planning on how to destabilize the city on Monday. Owoyesigire says.

The Age Limit Bill which seeks to remove 75 Age Cap on presidential age limit is to be debated on Monday on the floor of parliament. The Bill that was also recently backed by the Parliamentary committee on legal affairs once passed will enable president Museveni to contest again in 2021.
