The Elgon Regional police commander SSP. Chemusto Francis has cautioned media organisations against publishing any information pertaining murder before consulting the relevant authorities.
RPC’s statement comes after some media houses published that Sheikh Issa Wampongo of Nakaloke was kidnapped and murdered by unknown assailants which police later found that the deceased committed suicide by drowning himself into a stream in Kireka cell Nakaloke.
RPc has condemned the media houses that hurriedly published false information about the death of sheikh Issa as a murder case and asked them to put their record right. Stay online we shall keep you posted.
