MAKERERE STUDENT DIES AFTER JOGGING SUNDAY MORNING

Residents of Makerere’s Nsibirwa hall commonly known as Northcote are still in shock after one of their own drowned into the university’s swimming pool and died after a morning jog.

The deceased was identified as John Paul Mirimu, a first year Information Technology student. His death has come as a shock to his friends and the whole university body since he didn’t have any health complications.

 

Below is verbatim communique from the guild information minister Kato Martins.

*RIP MILIMU JOHN PAUL*

As it is a norm the the state house, Nsibirwa hall, Every Saturday at dawn all the statesmen go in for jogging.
They made it through all corners of the university as usual.

As a means of refreshing, they all went to the swimming pool at around 7.00am.
Our beloved John made a decision to take a refreshment as well for his first time in campus.

Unfortunately he landed into the deep side of the pool. Later the colleagues recognised that John Paul was drowning and made a move to rescue him. He was rushed to the university hospital but as usual, workers were away.
Immediately he was rushed to Mulago hospital, but on reaching there… Our brother was no more.
Currently he is at the mortuary in Mulago Hospital.

John Paul has been a year one student of IT, a resident of Nsibirwa Hall It’s sad news to the Family, Northcote and Makerere University at large.
