By Wycliff G; The biggest outdoor music experience around Kampala, Blankets & Wine is back in style and ready to showcase this year like before despite the hypothetical, COVID-19 Pandemic threats.
This will be the 25th edition and has been dubbed ‘Blankets at Home’ and will likewise bring together a number of artists both locally and from around the continent on an entertainment platform.
Unusually, this edition will require all the party-goers witness a variety of live music sessions in a virtual mode and comfort of their homes.
A line-up of star-stubbed artists has been headlined by Nigeria’s Joe Boy, Vinka, Kenneth Mugabi, Jaycee Kohen, Buka Chimey, among others.
The online event is scheduled on 30th August.
This edition had been earlier been slated for April, 19th 2020 but it was postponed following the Presidential directive to enforce social distancing to help curb the spread of the Corona Virus pandemic.
Blankets & Wine is East Africa’s premier music experience designed to showcase outstanding musicians in the emerging genres of afro-based music.
