Leila Kayondo was bedridden after taking too much alcohol due to the music industry stress, and failure to get a serious man to marry her.
The faded musician used to drink with her best friend Hellen Lukoma, but Hellen decided to quit and become a mother.
This made Leila Kayondo sad and lonely, hence she resorted to drinking from “Bufundas” with a number of her idle fans opting to take cheap alcohol and getting drunk.
Leila was admitted on Tuesday night at one of the hospitals along Ggaba road. She claimed to be suffering from malaria, but laboratory tests showed otherwise saying her blood contained a lot of alcohol.
