Socialite and ex-convict Shanitah Namuyimbwa famous as Bad Black is currently being hunted by police over about 15 cases related to theft that were filed against her.
Her home was raided by police on Tuesday evening but she managed to escape before getting arrested. According to police, the renowned thief obtained money worth 1,100,000 by false pretense from a girl promising to fly her abroad. Black as well reportedly conned a number of women abroad by taking their money and failing to send them whitening soap and jellies.
As though that wasn’t enough, Black also allegedly hired a car on May 15th, 2021 at UGX2, 000,000 and failed to pay. On top of that, she destroyed its windscreen worth UGX550,000 and deliberately refused to replace it.
A few months ago, after she had started her cream business, Black was accused by a number of her customers of selling fake products while others accused her of failing to send the products after the money was sent.
Black trashed the allegations claiming she had never sold anything to the complainants and neither had she ever taken their money.
It should be recalled that Black has over the years been involved in many theft cases. Her most popular one is of 2011 when she was charged with embezzling shs11b from her 53-year-old British Lover David Greenhalgh.
She was sentenced to four years in jail but even after serving them, she has never stopped stealing.
In 2019, she proudly confessed how she is talented at taking what’s not hers.
“I went to school and studied how to steal money, that is why I have lots of it on my accounts,” Bad Black said. ‘it is really a lot of money, lying idle on my accounts, and that is why you see regularly me giving to the needy,” she added.
