We earlier reported to you that popular stand up comedy group Bizonto parted. We also reported to you how the group’s woes stemmed from money issues and trust among the members.
It had also been reported that ego was one of the motivational factors for the split with some members of the group feeling less superior than others. However, shocking revelations have come out to indicate that a far more complicated issue was to blame for the Bizonto split.
It has now been learnt that two of the members Jjaja and Young Zonto were dismissed from the group after they sang “Mailo land” to criticise president Yoweri Museveni about his stance on the Buganda land system. The pair revealed that they were unaware about their being fired until when they were told to reapply to be a part of the group they originally formed.
