The festival season is upon us and many Ugandans are looking to making a kill and to have a blissful start to the new year. It now appears musicians and other performing artistes do not want to be left behind by the festive joy and lucrative business.
As we write this, artistes are in high gear to call out to President Yoweri Museveni to open up concerts before the close of the year so that they can perform and make money.
Key among the artistes that have called upon the president to do the generous gesture to the artiste is his very own green eyed boy Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool.
Bebe Cool is one of the many that have started up a campaign to convince the president to let them work in the festive season, saying it is that time of the year where they make a lot of money.
The singers insist that the music concert, once properly managed can adhere to the SOPs and also act as a sensitisation tool for vaccination.
Bebe Cool while speaking to Next Media revealed that as artistes, they have patiently waited for the president to give them a green light to perform and that they have been the most affected sector since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, saying since a reasonable number of people in the special interest group have already taken the jabs, they can now be rewarded for their patience.
