I’m Rich, ‘I Can’t Steal Mabugo, – Balaam Responds to Allegations from Mowzey’s Family

Events promoter Balaam Barugahara has defended himself on the ongoing allegations that he mismanaged fallen singer Mowzey Radio’s condolence money. According to reports, the city promoter did not make any accountability of how the money received from mourners was used.

However speaking to ChimpLyf, Balaam said that it is not true because he made accountability for all the money he received. “Not true at all, I issued accountability for the money. I was given 24.5 million , 20M by Museveni, 1M by Juliana Kanyomozi, 1M by Elvis Ssekyanzi , 2M by KK Advocates and 500,000/- from JB Legrand.

“Funeral Directors took 14.4M paid in their presence, 3M for order of service books (1500 copies for Rubaga Cathedral), 3M for 5 small tents and 3000 chairs and 4.1M on sound deposit in Kaga,” he said.

Balaam who was at the helm of Mowzey Radio’s funeral arrangements advised the family to settle their problems amicably for he can never wish for their property. “I advised those people to settle all their differences amicably, I don’t need any of their property, they are just 1% of what I own,” he added.

He added that it was Bryan White that paid 10 million for the sound system used at Kololo in addition to his contribution of 3 million. When asked whether he was paid for the services, Balaam said that he was working alongside other promoters for free.
