By Muwanga Deo: Police has arrested 14 suspects including women for allegedly killing seven elderly people.
the Police spokesperson Fed Enanga said that these vulnerable people are targeted for their property which puts them at risk
According to Enanga, at least seven elderly people living in their houses alone were hacked to death between July 14 and August 10th, 2019
He says they have registered ten incidents involving attacks on elderly persons countrywide over the past one month. Seven of the victims died on spot after being hacked and four cases were reported from Rwizi region that covers Mbarara, Bushenyi and Sheema districts.
Enanga says police management has directed Regional and District Police to ensure that all elderly persons within their territorial command are protected.
