Mr. President, How Does It Feel To Mistreat Your Grandchildren?   – Bobi Wine asks Museveni

Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has advised three-decade president to stop mistreating the people he calls his grandchildren. Museveni has recently been using the Luganda language phrase ‘Bazzukulu’ (grandchildren) to refer to youths in his addresses.

Addressing reporters at his home in Magere, Wakiso district on Monday, Bobi Wine said: “I want to know what you feel when you treat your people like this. How does it feel?” “The way we are being treated doesn’t reflect a grandfather.”

He then called on Museveni to emulate his (Bobi Wine’s) grandmother who visited him at Magere, hugged her and attempted to lift him in the air – frail as she is.

Upon return from the US last Thursday, security agencies blocked Bobi Wine from visiting his grandmother at Najjanankumbi. Bobi Wine further warned Museveni against mistreating youths with opposing ideas.

“We are grandchildren of Uganda who have a brain and a voice,” said Bobi Wine. “We want to learn from you Mr President.”
