The Ugandan entertainment industry is now getting more cozy and interesting as artistes drop variety of new music accompanied by stunts which has been so rare in the past. Well, if you ask me to mention one of my funniest moments in the entertainment for 2018, I would not hesitate to mention Kadongo Kamu savage one ‘Vicent Segawa’ who is now the top talk around town.
Unlike the normal process of getting a right spouse (search, find, date, engage and marry) which is proving nagging and useless nowadays among lovers after a handful of heartbreaks and divorce cases rising, Vicent has cut short his time and resources to find a wife.
The ‘Balemeddwa Okwekolera’ singer decided to appear on Bukedde TV’s Spouse search programme dubbed ‘Abanoonya’ where he admitted he was in seriously ready to marry again years after breaking-up with his first lover.
This appeared normal as often the programme has been but a week after his confession of need, Vicent shocked the nation when he re-appeared on the same TV with a line-up of over 50 women whom he revealed had undergone his auditions to choose a right wife amongst them. The singer did not stop there as he further promised to audit more 50 women who are routinely calling him eagerly interested in having a hand 0f marriage with him.
This seems to be a normal case among some Ugandans especially when it comes to defending human rights however, contradicting it has proven to majority as ascertained to the singer and Uganda’s culture and norms of marriage. The singer has since received a lot of insults and blasphemies from the public including his diehard every time he gets in the media over this same issue.
Unfortunately, his long planned stunt may end-up costing his music career as some of the music listeners have been quoted on-line threatening to boycott his music for some time if he persists with such uncultured behaviors.
