President Museveni has vision for Uganda says First Lady Janet

First Lady Mrs Janet Museveni has hailed her husband President Yoweri Museveni as a visionary leader who plans for Uganda’s development. Mrs Museveni who is also Education and Sports Minister sighted Universal Primary Education (UPE) that benefited needy children attain education.

“UPE has made tremendous role in this country, many children who would not make it to school, have attain primary education. We cannot commend any other person apart from President Yoweri Museveni,” she said.

May I take this opportunity to invite you (President Museveni) to launch UPE pictorial book, said Mrs Kataha during the 33rd National Resistance Movement (NRM) anniversary

Before the launch book, the President said during the elections of 1986, when he introduced UPE, Paul Semwogerere, the opposition presidential candidate laughed at me. He said, “Where will Museveni get the money. But God has always been on my side”

“Everyone has his own wisdom, a hen feeds and brings up its chics but has no breasts,” said President Museveni as his emphasized his vision for Ugandans. The President is on record as the only person with a vision for Uganda.

He further explained, “When we started UPE, there were 2.5 million children now there are 8.4 million pupils. If you combine, primary, secondary, institutions and universities, there are over 10 million Ugandans learning out the total population is over 40 million. If it was bad planning, I am to blame.”

“The money we spend each year on UPE is Shs1.8 billion. It is equivalent to constructing four Kampala Masaka roads.” However President Museveni’ critics say children that have gone UPE school are poorly taught.

The President promised to tarmac Tirinyi Palisa Kumi, Nabumali Kachong,Tororo Nagongera Busolwe and Busia Tororo roads. He urged locals to improve on their house hold income. President said Tororo Cement, Simba Cement, and Dong Tong factory are proving employment to over ten thousands of Tororo residents.
