By Muwanga Deo: Uganda Airlines will have its maiden flight on Tuesday instead of Wednesday as earlier scheduled with ministers as the very first passengers to have a feel of the airline.
The maiden flight which will be for selected people will include technical officers, government officials, and media. This was revealed by the Ministry of Works Spokesperson Susan Kataike.
The flight will depart from Entebbe Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 10:00 am.
It is not yet clear whether this was made specifically for marketing purposes. But this means the taxpayer foots bills for this flight.
The first batch of planes was brought in on 23rd of April this year in a bid to revive a national airline after the Uganda Airlines established buy former President Idd Amin Dada’s Government including five aircraft left behind by former President were disposed of more than 20 years ago bu the Museveni Government Currently in power.
