MINISTRY OF WORKS INSPECTS SECOND BATCH OF PLANES EXPECTED IN TWO WEEKS

BY MUWANGA DEO: The Permanent Secretary Bageya Waiswa and the Acting CEO of Uganda Airlines have set off for Montreal Canada to inspect and receive the second batch of the Bombardier CRJ900 Aircraft.

President Yoweri Museveni accompanied the First Lady Janet Museveni, ministers, MPs and other dignitaries witnessed the landing of the first ‘twin birds’ amidst ululation and singing in mid April this year which have started their routes in different parts of Africa

Uganda Airlines ordered for four Bombardier CRJ planes each costing $27.3m (sh102.5b) and two A330-800neo planes made by Airbus each

 

The 2 Aircraft are expected in the country within the next two weeks.
