By Wycliff G; Ugandan President H.E YK Museveni today morning joined the public in a walking campaign dubbed ‘Anti-corruption Walk’ that will oust corruption out of the country.
The walk saw the President match from The Constitutional Square in the City center of Kampala to Kololo Independence Grounds, a distance of about 4kilometers.
“Joined different government agencies, religious, traditional, civil society leaders and fellow countrymen in the Anti-Corruption Walk. I am very glad we turned up in big numbers as we continue the war towards a Corruption Free Uganda,” stated President Museveni.
In his ceremonial speech at Kololo Independence grounds, President Museveni revealed he would stone any corrupt government official first if brought to his book.
He also said that fighting corruption is among his first mandate in his 2021 general election manifesto s it has deeply set-back Uganda but its high time he mends back the affected institutions of the country.
