Uganda’s COVID-19 Toll Reaches 317

By Wycliff G; Yesterday 28th May 2020, 36 New COVID-19 cases were confirmed raising the total confirmed cases are now 317 in Uganda.

Of these, 24 new cases are truck drivers while 12 of the new cases are contacts to previously confirmed truck drivers.

The contacts were under quarantine at the time of test.

Additionally, 26 positive foreign truck drivers were handed over to their country of origin yesterday.

However, the total COVID-19 recoveries for Uganda stand at 69.

Samples from points of entry tested yesterday were 1428.

Samples from community and alerts were 802.

The total samples tested country wide were 2230.
