By Wycliff G; News reaching our desks is that, the Chief Political Commissar of the Uganda Police Force, AIGP Asan Kasingye has tested positive for COVID-19.
This he has confirmed by himself via his official twitter account on Sunday afternoon.
“BAD NEW!! I’AM #COVID19 POSITIVE,” Asan wrote,
On Friday, 21st August Asan took COVID-19 tests at his home as he urged Ugandans to do the same.
“There we go! Let’s defeat COVID-19. If you feel unwell, quarantine yourself, seek testing services. If sick, get treatment. Otherwise, let’s wear a face mask, wash our hands with soap, social distance, & follow all the other set guidelines. s-out as the first government official to publicly announce that he has contracted Corona Virus,” he wrote.
