By Website writer; H.E YK Museveni has today, Saturday, March 27, 2021, received the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
This was at State House Nakasero in the company of his wife Janet Museveni who also got the Covid-19 jab.
President Museveni encouraged the qualified group’s people to take on the vaccination in the designated health centers.
He also called upon the public to keep observing the Ministry of Health’s SoPs.
“I encourage all Ugandans who qualify for this vaccination to go to health facilities and get it. But remember to keep observing the SoPs, wear masks, wash/sanitise hands and observe social distance, etc,” President Museveni said after his vaccination.
Dr. Diana Atwine, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health Uganda has congratulated President Museveni for getting vaccinated and applauded him for often being an exemplary leader.
“Congratulations President Kaguta Museveni and Janet Museveni for taking the vaccine against Covid. You have been exemplary all the way,” reads a tweet from Dr. Diana Atwine.
