Hajji Abdul Nadduli the former Minister without portfolio in President Museveni’s gov’t has demanded the release of all political prisoners who were arrested during the 2021 general elections that saw hundreds of opposition supporters arrested.
The election that had Hon. Kyagulanyi as the main threat to Museveni’s election was hotly contested leaving many NUP supporters including eddy Mutwe and Nubian Lee arrested in the areas of Bududa and Kalangala Districts among other places.
Haji Nadduli called onto govt to release the political prisoners now that the elections have been put behind so that people can also enjoy their country freely.
“We have been in power for too long, which kind of parent gives a child a snake when he says he’s hungry? These young people he is arresting were still young or not yet born when we came into power. To enable the revolution, go on let him release the youth so that they enjoyed” Nadduli said
The former minister took this opportunity to remind the Government to take back Buganda’s property termed as Ebyaffe that was put into the Government’s hands after being snatched from the kingdom in 1966 during President Obote’s tenure in office.
