Jacob Oulanya the former deputy speaker of parliament has won the speakership seat of the 11th parliament during the first seating of the 11th parliament at Kololo Ceremonial grounds
the voting that saw competition between Kadaga who run as indepent and oulanya from NRM started in the afternoon and ended at 4:47pm after which vote counting commenced
FDC’s Ibrahim Ssemuju Nganda scooped 15 votes while Kadaga managed 197 votes and oulanya leading with a difference of 113 votes scored 310 emerging the victor
A small fight was witnessed after announcing of Oulanya
the event was presided over by the chief justice Alfonse winny Dollo
