By Website Writer; Lieutenant General Wilson Mbasu Mbadi has been named as the new Commander Defense Forces (CDF) by the Commander in Chief, H.E Gen. YK Tibuhabura Museveni.
Lt. Gen. Mbadi was the deputy CDF.
He replaces Gen. David Muhoozi who was appointed state minister of Internal Affairs.
The new changes in Uganda Peoples’ Defense Forces leadership have seen also seen Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu deputize Mbadi, first son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba at the helm of the Land Forces, and Maj. Gen. Leopold Eric Kyanda appointed as the Joint Chief of Staff.
The changes by the commander in chief have also seen Brig. Peter Chandia appointed the new Special Forces Commander, Maj Gen Sam Kavuma appointed as the deputy coordinator of the Operation Wealth Creation whereas Maj Gen Sam Okiding is the new Deputy Commander.
