Bajjo reveals that Bobi Wine lied to him and other People Power members that former US President, Donald Trump was backing up their struggle. This was the time Bajjo was still a committed servant and supporter of the NUP.
“The day Bobi Wine lied to us that Mr. Trump was supporting us is the same day I gave up on his him,” Bajjo said during his interview on a local TV station.
Bajjo adds that he was disappointed by Bobi Wine for not checking on him and other NUP members when they were arrested and remanded to Nalufenya prison.
“We were arrested by Police, and detained at Nalufenya for many days but Bobi Wine didn’t feel any concern to check on us.”
Bajjo is among the renowned names that dumped their support for Bobi Wine and instead switched to his strongest rival, H.E YK Museveni.
