Inside Uganda Airlines plane’s fuel delay saga in Tanzania

By Website Writer; On Monday, July 12, 2021, Uganda Airlines craft UR 321 was reported to have stranded at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Tanzania for hours after it ran out of fuel leaving passengers on board shocked.

 

However, Uganda Airlines company opened up a day after and said the service was affected by a mix up in delayed fuel delivery to the aircraft caused by their supplier in Dar Es Salaam.

Allow us to apologize for the prolonged delay at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Dar Es Salaam that occurred Yesterday 12 July 2021 on our flight UR 321. Our service was affected by a mix-up in delayed fuel delivery to the aircraft caused by our supplier in Dar Es Salaam. We have take up the matter with them to ensure a repeat of the same does not reoccur in the future. We wish to assure you that this mishap does not define our day to day standards of service. Thank you for your continued support.” A press release issued by Uganda Airlines reads,” reads Uganda Airlines statement.

However, reports coming in reveal that Uganda airlines recently terminated their refueling contracts in which the planes would be fueled at any airport without advance payment.

This means that Uganda airlines now has to pay before getting fuel.
