By Website Writer; The High Court has today, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, dismissed an election petition filed by National Unity Platform’s Fred Nyanzi a.k.a Chairman Nyanzi against Kampala Central Member of Parliament, Hon. Mohammed Nsereko.
The court said that Hon. Mohammed Nsereko wasn’t dully served an official notice petitioning his election victory by rival, Chairman Nyanzi.
Speaking to journalists, Chairman Nyanzi conceded loss in the petition though he faulted the court for delaying its ruling.
“After this ruling, Ugandans should now know that I have tried to do what is expected of me according to the courts of law. We failed to serve such a stubborn man as you all know. It’s unfortunate that our case has been strangled,” Chairman Nyanzi said.
“As you all know, justice delayed is justice denied. This ruling was supposed about one and a-half weeks ago but until today, we were not sure that it was to happen,” he added.
