By Website Writer; The number of victims of Uganda’s capital, Kampala explosions continues to escalate after minute after minute.
According to Deputy ED Mulago National Referral Hospital, Dr Rosemary Kusaba, over 27 casualties admitted at Mulago hospital, causality ward. 7 patients in critical, 20 are stable and majority are police officers.
The Ministry of Health assures that the casualties are being impressively being attended to by medics Mulago.
The Ministry spokesperson, Emmanuel Ainebyoona, said in a tweet: “Following the unfortunate and cowardly act of terrorism, our health workers are working around the clock to save lives of those injured. Mulago Hospital is currently attending to about 24 causalities.”
The Kampala twin suspected bomb blast occurred in the morning hours of Tuesday at the Central Police Station (CPS) and Parliamentary Avenue.
The Uganda Police spokesman, Fred Enanga also confirmed that at least 3 police officers died and more than two dozen more injured in the first of twin explosions in Uganda’s capital Kampala.
Several security operatives are currently working together to cease the uncertainty in the Kampala City Centre and also proceed with investigations.
