In 2018, Judith Babirye surprised the public after she revealed that she had found new love after almost 10years living a bachelor’s life.
The “Maria” crooner made the name of her hubby confidential not until the close dates to her marriage ceremony, hence leaving everyone in suspense.
Judith Babirye’s long-awaited husband revelation turned out an immense shock as she paraded Buikwe North Member of Parliament, Hon. Paul Musoke Ssebulime, who was married to a one Ms. Lukia Ntale.
Despite sounding criticism and advises from friends and family, Babirye and Musoke went ahead and held a secret traditional marriage Las Vegas, Bunga in Kampala.
After just 17 months, Court allowed Sebulime and fellow legislator Judith Babirye to divorce each other.
Justice Olive Karazarwe Mukaye of Makindye-based family division court said the petitioner Sebulime gave a detailed account of Babirye’s cruel actions that caused him mental and psychological torture.
On the verge of court mending their relationship, Sebulime had already made up with his former wife Nalongo Lukia Ntale with whom he had born over 4children with.
This forced Babirye to relocate to the US where she has been thriving since.
However, appearing on a local TV station, Faraja Television, the former legislature has confessed sin for having ruined Nalongo Lukia’s marriage.
Babirye pleaded for mercy Nalongo Lukia which she believes its complicated to take in but she would find at least a place to forgive her.
Babirye also says forgiveness is divine.
“I am sorry for wrecking your marriage. I want to apologize to Ms. Lukiya Ntale, forgive me. I am sorry. What I did was not right, please find space in your heart and forgive me. Forgiveness is devine,” Judith Babirye said.
It should be recalled, in 2005, Judith Babirye was married to Samuel Niwo and became the parents of one daughter Circa 2006 though separated in 2009.
In January 2017, Babirye filed for divorce and in 2018 she married Paul Musoke Ssebulime, at that time the MP representing Buikwe North Constituency.
It was the second marriage for each of them.
