Bobi Wine addresses European Parliament on Human Rights status in Uganda, see photos

By Website Writer; Ugandan singer cum politician, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine addressed the European Parliament.

On Tuesday, February 8, 2022, Bobi Wine, the President of the National Unity Platform (NUP), meeting before the envoy of Socialists and Democrats of the Renew Europe in the European Parliament evaluated the status of Human Rights in Uganda.

 

He also urged the world to collectively undertake actions against all democracy violators.

Had the honor of addressing Members of the European Parliament belonging to the #RenewEurope group. I spoke about the human rights situation in our country and yet again made the case for the world to take firm action against those who undermine democracy,” Bobi Wine stated on his social media.

In a similar manner, development, healthcare and other important issues were discussed.

To Brussels, Belgium, Bobi Wine was accompanied by NUP General Secretary Lewis Lubongoya, his wife Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi and his music partner Ali Buken alias Nubian Li.

The European Parliament is an important forum for political debate and decision-making at the EU level. The Members of the European Parliament are directly elected by voters in all Member States to represent people’s interests with regard to EU law-making and to make sure other EU institutions are working democratically.
