By Website Writer; H.E YK Tibuhabura Museveni has today left for Democratic Republic of Congo’s Capital Kinshasa to attend the 10th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Framework Agreement for Peace, Security and Cooperation for the Region.
The Regional Oversight Mechanism of the Peace, Security, and Cooperation Framework is a structure formed with a determination to end the cycles of conflict and violence that had characterized Africa’s Great Lakes region.
The member states believe there is no security problem the framework cannot defeat in Africa.
Today’s summit will also see Kaguta Museveni hand over chairmanship of the Peace, Security and Cooperation Mechanism to the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Felix Tshisekedi Tshilombo.
The summit attracted Heads of State & representatives from the 13 countries under the Great Lakes Region including Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Ethiopia, Gabon, S. Africa, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Zambia, Tanzania & Uganda.
