By Website Writer; Commander for Land forces in the Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF), Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has finally ‘let the cat out of the bag’ on his Presidential seat ambitions.
Gen. Muhoozi, who is also the son to H.E YK Museveni shocked netizens over the weekend as he consulted on his presidential stand come the general elections of 2026.
Via his flamboyant official Twitter account, Gen. Muhoozi asked for replies from those who wish or don’t he stood in 2026.
“All those who want me to stand in 2026 retweet, all those who don’t like,” Gen. Muhoozi stated.
The first son also hit-back at his tormentors, whom he says have now been forced to shut-up by the fact that he is the biggest thing in town.
Gen. Muhoozi also disclosed plans by his ‘Team MK’ to announce their political programme.
“The fact that all those who used to abuse me on a daily basis are now being forced to swallow their words by the people is great!! Team MK will announce our political programme soon,” he adds.
For almost 5years now, Gen. Muhoozi has often been reported warming up to take on his father (President Museveni’s) seat once he resigns.
These were intensified last month when he held glamorous celebrations for his 48th birthday, moreover some of which were graced by Rwanda President, H.E Paul Kagame.
However, on countless occasions, Gen. Muhoozi has distanced himself from the allegations and insisted on his long-term plan to serve in the UPDF.
