East African Presidents meet over in DRC security

By Website Writer; East African heads; H.E Uhuru Kenyatta (Kenya), H.E YK Museveni (Uganda), H.E Paul Kagame (Rwanda), H.E Évariste Ndayishimiye (Burundi), H.E Félix Tshisekedi (DR Congo), H.E Salva Kiir (South Sudan), are in Kenya for peace and security meeting of the region particularly DR Congo.

The meeting convened by H.E Uhuru Kenyatta who is also the East African Community chairperson commenced on Monday, June 20, 2022 in Kenya’s capital Nairobi for the 3rd East African Community (EAC) Heads of State Conclave on Inter-Congolese Dialogue of the Nairobi Process on the Peace and Security Situation in Eastern DR Congo.

President Museveni who touched down in the morning hours aboard Uganda Airlines confirmed his arrival in Nairobi to discuss the security situation in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

I have arrived in Nairobi, Kenya for the 3rd East African Community (EAC) Heads of State Conclave on the peace and security situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC),” H.E YK Museveni’s tweet reads.

President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania is represented at the meeting by the country’s ambassador to Kenya, High Commissioner John Stephen Simbachawene.
