By Website Writer; Massacre continues to soar in the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) than ever before.
The latest news coming through is that UMA general secretary, Phina Mugerwa a.k.a Phina Masanyalaze has sued the association former president and Policy board member Sophie Gombya and UMA Electoral Commission Chairman Geofrey Ekongot (Jeff) for defamation.
During a presser held today, Phina Masanyalaze cried foul of Sophie Gombya and Geofrey Ekongot falsely accusing her of stealing the association documents.
“I didn’t steal any documents,” Phina Masanyalaze said.
It should be recalled last month, Geofrey Ekongot filed a case against Phina at Police, naming her as the culprit behind the theft of UMA constitution documents.
Appearing on Tagy TV’s “Night Shift Hard Talk” show, Sophie Gombya complemented Jeff’s allegations as said that Phina was witnessed making-away with the missing documents.
Sophie also said that Phina’s act is grounded on her need to scrap the association Policy board by amending the constitution.
This comes in at the same moment when the association general elections are yet to be rescheduled after the Ministry of Gender, Labor and Social Development intervention.
