By Website Writer; The Uganda Police spokesperson Fred Enanga has said that one suspect has so far been arrested, as efforts to trace for the other culprits involved in the assassination of James Kakooza the former Kamwokya LC 3 Chairman.
Kakooza James 54, a resident of Kamwokya 2 B, Kamwokya Church Zone Central Division Kampala was murdered while jogging along Centenary Park on the Saturday morning of July 16.
According to the gathered Police report, the Kakooza was approaching Yusuf-Lule Road along Centenary Park, below Kingdom Kampala when he was attacked, brutally beaten till death by yet two unidentified assailants riding on a boda boda.
The body of the deceased was taken to the city mortuary in Mulago for a postmortem, and police promised that more details on the matter will be communicated in due course.
On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, spokesperson Enanga indicated that intensive investigations aided by CCTV cameras are being carried out by several security intelligence bodies.
Mr. Kakooza’s body was laid to rest in Gomba district on Monday, July 18, 2022.
