Police raids FDC’s MP Anna Adeke’s home in Soroti, 40 arrested as security tightens for polls

By Website Writer; Last night, Police in Soroti District Security Raided Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Anna Ebaju Adeke’s home in Akisim – Soroti.

According to a statement shared on her Twitter account on Thursday, Hon. Anna Ebaju says that at between 11:30PM – 00:51AM on Wednesday, Police broke into her house, beat, pepper sprayed and arrested her people.

“Police in Soroti have broken into my house in Akisim. They have beaten, pepper sprayed and arrested all my people. They started this at 11.30 pm until 00.51am. Below is a footage of the same. The criminals in police uniform have taken my people,” Hon. Anna Adeke stated.

It’s also said more than 40 FDC leaders have since been arrested as security heightened ahead of today’s polls.

The race is anticipated to be tight between National Resistance Movement’s (NRM) Hon. Herbert Edmund Ariko and Forum for Democratic of Change’s (FDC) Attan Moses Okia.
