By Webiste Writer; Nabulime Dorothy, a mother who appeared in a viral video torturing her two-year-old girl has been sentenced to 18 months in jail.
According to the Uganda Police statement released on Tuesday, Nabulime pleaded guilty before court to two counts of cruel inhuman degrading treatment and assault occasioning actual bodily harm to her two-year-old daughter.
Upon the video making rounds on social media, Nabulime was arrested and pleaded for subjecting her own toddler to cruelty, inhuman treatment and inflicting bodily harm.
Nabulime’s act got the internet twerking last week as several netzines embraced the concern of women like her mistreating their kids, hence raising an alarm for responsible government bodies to intervene.
