By Website Writer; Uganda Police are investigating alleged theft of a gun from a guard attached to GKO security company last evening.
The guard was allegedly attacked and hacked by unknown assailants in Magere cell, Kasangati in Wakiso District on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 7:30pm before the gun was stolen.
“Our team responded and took him to Mulago hospital for treatment while the search for the gun has commenced,” says ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson.
The increasing rate of gun theft from security operatives around the country continues to worry.
This comes in weeks after government decided to close quite a number of Police posts around the country to comfortably tame the new insecurity gesture.
