By Website Writer; Its endless jubilations for the family of journalist Andrew Mwenda this earlier in new year 2023.
This is after him scooping a soupy position in first son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s newly formed political arm, MK Army/Movement.
Mwenda who has on various occasions appeared as Gen. Muhoozi’s first right-hand-man, was announced into the position by the former Chief of Land Forces himself via Twitter on Thursday.
In the same announcement, it was confirmed that all Gen. Muhoozi’s statements will have to pass through Mwenda’s office.
“I’m happy to announce that Mr. Andrew Mwenda is the official spokesperson for the MK Army/Movement. All our statements will go through his office,” Gen. Muhoozi’s tweet reads.
According to Frank Gashumba, one of heads of the MK Army Supporters, Gen. Muhoozi and his team shall be having a series of activities in the Great Sebei region on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
He will then participate in prayers in Mbale on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
Those activities are purely organized by our leaders from that region. The activities will include a marathon and planting trees.
In December 2022, Gen. Muhoozi’s revealed his interest in the Presidential seat come the General Elections in 2026.
Gen. Muhoozi’s plan to stand for Presidency has since blown the mainstream and social media platforms with many questioning if he will have to content for the seat with his father, Gen. YK Museveni.
