Edwin Katamba, better known as MC Kats, is an optimiser. When he sees an opportunity, he makes sure he makes the best out of it.
During his recent event dubbed ‘King of the Mic’ that was held on January 28, Kats found himself on stage with a Nyash-endowed lady and he didn’t disappoint.
He pocketed the wireless microphone and let his hands focus on bringing Nyash closer, attracting ululations from revelers.
Revelers were also treated to performances from a number of acts, including Grenade Official, Jowy Landa, Martha Mukisa, DJ Lito, Lydia Jazmine, and Fik Fameica.
A highly sought-after events emcee, Kats also manages musicians through his record label Kats Music and co-hosts an entertainment show that airs on NBS TV and Sanyuka TV.
“Musically we are not on good working terms,” she said. “But I will always remember him for introducing me to the industry, so whenever he has advice he offers it.”
Kats and Fille were an item for about six years until 2019 when they confirmed their split.
His TV career started with WBS TV, which he left to join NTV and then NBS TV.
Kats, who has a Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from UMCAT School of Journalism, went to Namilyango primary school, Busoga College Mwiri, but then got expelled and completed O-level at Kitante Hill School and A-level at Makerere High School.
