Singer Ibrahim Mayanja alias Big Eye Starboss has expressed his disappointment with fellow singer Eddy Kenzo for not sharing leads that would introduce other musicians to the global music scene.
Eddy Kenzo is one of Uganda’s musicians that have featured in a number of global awards the most recent being the just concluded 65th Grammys Awards.
Kenzo was nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category for his song with Matt B dubbed Gimme Love, and lost to South Africa’s Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode for their song Bayethe.
Despite the loss, Kenzo was applauded by fellow celebrities and countrymen, for raising the Ugandan flag to greater heights.
However, Big Eye has publicly attacked Kenzo for being so self-centered that he refused to share his global contacts with any other musician for over 9years.
Big Eye maintained that based on Eddy Kenzo’s deeds, he doesn’t deserve to use the motto of “FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY” because inside their hearts there is “FOR GOD AND MY SELF”
“BITTER TRUTH. It’s unfortunate that my neighbor didn’t succeed at Grammy Awards but my self what i think is, you never know if it was Big Eye, Azawi, Daddy Andre, Apass, Fik Fameica, Spice Diana, Sheebah, Lydia Jazmine, Rema, etc..Maybe so many international awards would have been in Uganda. But the Nigga kept all international contacts & Connections for himself for like 9years now. So some people don’t deserve to use the motto of “FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY” coz inside their hearts there is “FOR GOD AND MY SELF”. Hope am not wrong to term it as being selfish. I have said this on 06.02.2023”
