Anti-Homosexuality Bill to be motioned in Parliament tomorrow – Speaker

By Website Writer; The Parliament of Uganda is set to discuss the Anti-Homosexuality Bill.

Today, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Among summoned parliament prepare the discussion which is slated for Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

The bill was first passed in 2013 before it was repealed after it emerged that the house had not realized a quorum in passing it at the time.

In preparation to debate on the motion that in the past weeks taken the country by a storm, Parliament gathered in prayer to seek God’s intervention.

We gathered earlier today to dedicate Parliament to the Lord, and I pledged to the Country that a Bill will be introduced as soon as possible to deal with Homosexuality and lesbianism,” Speaker Among stated.

Speaker also vowed to curb all arising attempts against the values and culture of Uganda.

We shall Jealously protect our cherished values and culture,” she added.
