Museveni in South Africa for a State visit

I have arrived in Pretoria, South Africa for a State visit at the invitation of my brother H.E Cyril Ramaphosa. During this visit, we shall consolidate bilateral relations between the two countries and hold discussions on political, economic, regional and international issues,” reads President Museveni’s tweet.

President Museveni who arrived on the Zulu land on Tuesday afternoon, held bilateral talks with H.E Cyril Ramaphosa and other country officials.

Amongst the litany of issues discussed, they agreed to champion deliberate efforts to reinvigorate and boost trade between Uganda and South Africa two as well as put in place avenues to facilitate increase in investment.

Later, Museveni and Ramaphosa addressed the media on pertinent issues, among others; the security question in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, and also expressed their resolve to get rid of the issues that impede the countries’ economic growth.
