Pastor Aloysius Bugingo has said he is awaiting Bobi Wine’s stance on homosexuality.
Bugingo noted that he has heard President Yoweri Museveni, Speaker Anita Among and her deputy, Thomas Tayebwa, speak vehemently against homosexuality, now it’s Wine’s turn.
He said it’s important to known Wine’s stance since he is aspiring to become Uganda’s president.
“They are [misleading] people’s children in schools. We need a law,” Bugingo said in a video shared on social media Thursday evening.
“The speaker has spoken. The president has spoken. The deputy speaker has spoken. All people who understand have spoken. I’m waiting for Kyagulanyi,” he went on.
“What did I say? I’m waiting for Kyagulanyi. He is the only one I’m waiting for… He is the one I’m waiting for.”
Bugingo, who was preaching, said that the leaders that led Uganda to independence, made it clear that Uganda is a religious country. So, according to him, supporting homosexuality is anti-religion.
“This country is for God. Our motto says for God and my country. Anyone who wants to be Uganda’s president, when they ask him, are you pro- or anti-homosexuality? And they speak in tongues, should die immediately,” he said.
“The world needs a future. This world cannot end with us.”
It’s important to note that Pastor Bugingo doesn’t support Wine’s political ambitions.
He recently made it clear that he wants Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba to become Uganda’s next president.
“Your excellency, the president of the Republic of Uganda, let no one deceive you that Bugingo no longer supports you, and started supporting Muhoozi. If I told you that I don’t like Muhoozi, I would be a rascal,” Bugingo said.
“You’ll resign when you want, but Muhoozi is next.”
