Susan Makula said people should stop thinking she bewitched Pastor Aloysius Bugingo because of the things he does for her.
According to Makula, he does what he does out of love, not witchcraft. She cited an incident where he helped her fetch food during an event.
“There is a time my man helped me get food at a function, and I was just seated and relaxed like a boss. And they said I bewitched him,” she said in a video seen by this reporter.
“That’s love. It’s not witchcraft. A man who loves you and understands you… he saw that I was wearing Musanana [a traditional dress that encompasses a floor-length skirt with a sash swathed over one shoulder, worn over a tank top or bustier], so it would be hard for me to carry food. But he was wearing a suit, so he could lift the food tray,” she went on.
“People who don’t understand the language of love, and if you had ever performed witchcraft and got results, you’ll think such experiences are a result of witchcraft. It’s not witchcraft, my friend. It’s love.”
Recently, Bugingo talked about how she tricks him into buying her things.
“Makula,… [laughs] if she wants shoes, she gives you shoes and waits for like three weeks. If she wants to go shopping for new clothes, she uses all her money to shop for you and you get excited,” said Bugingo.
“Now I studied her and I know to wait for what she will say after. So, now when she speaks I know I’m the one who eats what she has. But some of you eat yours and what belongs to the husband. Help me ask the neighbour, what befell you?”
Pastor Bugingo and Makula went public with their romance in 2019.
