Singer Swahaba Kasumba has expressed his disappointment with Kampala businessman and prominent herbalist Kojja Kimbowa over gifting him a stolen vehicle.
While taking part in an interview with Spark Tv, Swahaba Kasumba recalled Kojja Kimbowa storming the podium during one of the singer’s performances, before asking the former what he preferred between land and a car.
The exhilarated singer opted for land, but Kojja Kimbowa wished to elevate Kasumba’s lifestyle with a car.
However, Swahaba Kasumba later realized that the car that was gifted to him was in poor mechanical condition and he embarked on revamping it.
Swahaba Kasumba joined efforts with a certain Hajat around Bwaise to revamp the car, and the whole procedure cost him Ugx 6.7m.
To Kasumba’s dismay, he received multiple phone calls from different people including RDC Rosemary Kirabira and other several men from Najanankumbi claiming the car he was cruising was not in proper channels citing it had been stolen from someone.
In an effort to settle the issue, Swahaba Kasumba got in touch with Kojja Kimbowa and the pair agreed to make an agreement, stipulating that the singer had sold the car to the latter.
Kojja Kimbowa vowed to refund Kasumba’s money he had spent on the car and gave him Ugx 1m upfront before vowing to give him the balance later but he never lived up to his promise.
